FC Kallon delivered a dramatic display of intent in the 2026/27 Leone Rock Premier League opener, coming from behind to snatch a dramatic 2-1 victory over Old Edwardians in a pulsating contest that ended in heartbreak for the May Park Boys.

Old Edwardians were poised to make a winning start after taking an early 1-0 lead, putting FC Kallon on the back foot and raising the pressure on the Peninsular Boys. With their advantage in hand, the May Park Boys had every reason to believe they could hold on and claim all three points. But FC Kallon refused to surrender.

Showing resilience, determination and a never-say-die attitude, the Peninsular Boys gradually fought their way back into the contest, turning the pressure into purpose as they searched for a way back into the game.

Their persistent attacking prowess paid off as they drew level, setting the stage for a tense finish with both sides battling for the decisive breakthrough.

Just when the contest appeared destined for a hard-fought conclusion, FC Kallon struck late to complete the turnaround and send their supporters into wild celebrations.

The decisive goal transformed the afternoon, sealing a remarkable 2-1 comeback and leaving Old Edwardians devastated after surrendering their early advantage.

For FC Kallon, it was a victory built on character, belief and persistence; the kind of result that builds confidence in a team’s campaign. For Old Edwardians, it was a painful reminder that an early lead counts for little if it cannot be protected until the final whistle.

The Peninsular Boys have drawn first blood in the new campaign, while the May Park Boys are left to rue a late collapse in a match that promised so much but ended in disappointment.

Three points, a dramatic comeback and a powerful message: FC Kallon are ready to fight until the end in the 2026/27 Leone Rock Premier League.
